Summary:
This position is based in Charlotte, NC but the ideal candidate can live anywhere in the United States.

As a Traveling Trackside Operations Lead (Product Load in/Load out) you must be highly motivated, extremely productive and driven to produce the highest quality results in a fast paced, demanding atmosphere. You will be required to travel extensively with a trackside crew to complete a Retail Tent Store at all NASCAR Tracks. This project involves the loading and unloading of products, placement and assembly of the tent store and all the arrangement and placement of merchandise on the shelves in accordance with plan-o-grams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinate with onsite management team regarding placement of product and signage within the Fanatics NASCAR Retail Superstore at the appropriate race venue, in order to create a retail setting to sell merchandise.
* Installs graphical and decor elements per management instruction and guidelines
* Load, unload, restock and categorize all supplies and materials utilized for the projects
* Plan-o-gram experience is a plus
* Point of purchase and signage installation experience
* For CDL holders:
1. Frequent driving to the next speedway location in haulers
2. Maintaining driving logs accurately
3. Inspecting trucks to avoid safety issues
4. Always be compliant with DOT regulations
Education and Experience:
* Minimum High School diploma required
* Experience in retail merchandising helpful
* Practical knowledge and use of hand and power tools
* Ability to travel out of town for up to 4 to 21 days some projects may be longer
* NASCAR familiarity a plus
* CDL Holders:
1. Two years experience preferred
2. Clean driving record
3. Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen
4. Must hold a valid CDL from the state in which you reside
5. No DUIs in the past 7 years
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Must have valid driver's license, preferably CDL
* Must travel by road for all races during the NASCAR season with overnight stays lasting several consecutive days at a time
* Must be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner
* Must be able to deal effectively and courteously with the public and consumers in a retail setting
* Ability to work as a team and a positive attitude are a must
* Must be able to work at an efficient pace to keep up with schedules and deadlines
* Must have professional demeanor and the ability to take constructive criticism
* Ability to communicate with managers, contractors and crew members through entire project
* Candidates must be able to provide documentation establishing their identity and right to work in the U.S.
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol test
* Ability to travel 80%+ of work time to cover 38 week NASCAR Event Calendar as well as various Fanatics retail venues and special event retail operations nationwide
* Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Solid problem solving skills
* Must possess a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines

Supervisory Responsibilities:
* May be required to assist in supervising temporary labor as needed

Physical Demands:
* Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend and move for up to 12 plus hours a day during a set up/breakdown shift.
* This position involves heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
* Ability to climb ladders
* Ability to perform daily essential physical functions of lifting up to 50 pounds
* Will involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
* Will involve reaching above eye level
* Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
* Travel by automobile for extended timeframes

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions such as extreme cold and heat. The noise level in the work environment can be loud due to the activity at the racetrack.
