Time Warner Cable currently seeks a Plant Maintenance Supervisor for our Bergen, NJ and Mount Vernon, NY locations.

Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Purpose:

This position supervises technicians in repairing and maintaining the transportation and distribution portions of the technical systems, and ensuring that technical problems are handled in a timely manner. Also ensures all electronic equipment within the CATV system is maintained, repaired, or adjusted appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervises trains, promotes, schedules, motivates, evaluates and coaches plant maintenance technicians. Issues corrective action as appropriate.

- Supervises all activities related to outside plant testing, maintenance, documentation and emergency restoration.

- Exercises daily supervision over Plant Maintenance staff to ensure that productivity and quality goals are met.

- Monitors work of the technicians to ensure that completed work meets quality assurance guidelines and is completed within company, franchise and budgetary requirements. Supports all key operating metrics. Holds the department responsible for meeting and exceeding established goals.

- Ability to solve and repair technical problems with customers and technicians through effective verbal communications. The Maintenance Supervisor will show an aptitude towards solving customer complaints and/or problems referred by a technician, another department or the city/county, ensuring adherence with established safety FCC, Franchise, and general management procedures/guidelines. Will follow through on all issues to the satisfaction of all parties.

- Checks in and verifies previous day's work, outage reports, line problems, and maintenance repairs. Has frequent contact with Dispatch in receiving and reviewing outages, line problems, etc. Provides guidance to the technicians by handling unusual problems, responding to customer complaints.

- Hosts weekly team meetings.

- Serves as a liaison between service technicians, maintenance technicians, construction, headend, RNOC system engineers, CSR's, and dispatch personnel. Has a strong sense for the company mission. Performs administrative duties, including preparing and documenting technician activities, organizing and maintaining quality control reports.

- Supports plant preventive maintenance program.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

*Bachelor's Degree in a related field is desirable; a minimum of 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three (3) years CATV experience required. Supervisory experience a plus or equivalent trainer's experience.

*Experienced in PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and plant network diagnostic applications.

*Must be detailed oriented and capable of completing multiple projects and assignments under strict time constraints.

*Must be able to research, report and communicate results in a clear and consistent manner.

*Experience with RF, CATV and Digital technologies.

*Good project management and time management skills are required.

*Must have excellent customer service skills.

*Must have strong attention to detail.

*Must be willing to work evenings and weekends; availability out of regular business hours as needed.
