Main Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Phase I
1) Perform duties associated with marketing and sales training. Duties may include making sales field visits to
evaluate sales training needs, and assisting in the implementation of sales training, customer education activities,
marketing projects, etc. (2 months)
2) Under the direction of a Senior Sales Rep, conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic products and
services to existing and competitive customers based on a strategic plan. (4 months)
* Coordinate customer activities at all assigned meetings.
* Assist in the management of consignment inventory.
* Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, and conventions as directed.
* Maintain up-to-date customer record books and other records in accordance with Division Manager instructions.
* Identify selling opportunities and work closely with the Senior Sales Rep to increase sales in their respective accounts.
* Develop a high-level of technical expertise in all assigned products and therapies, and technical/clinical topics.
* Read, comprehend, and present leading clinical study reports.
* Demonstrate understanding of business economics and reimbursement.
Phase II
Placement in this position would occur only if assessment shows readiness for Associate Therapy Consultant role.
1) Sell implantable devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payers, and other appropriate medical staff.
2) Partner with strategic implanting centres to develop self-sustaining referral networks.
3) Provide product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at strategic surgeries, staff
in-service, and physician seminars.
4) Territory management and analysis of sales trends; utilization of appropriate business partners to present marketing
and business plans to accounts for territory development and growth.
