BON SECOURS HOME CARE LLCPOSITION SUMMARY Provides Physical Therapy treatments following treatment plan outlined by Therapist. Modifies treatment within established guidelines. Documents care according to accepted clinical practice. Communicates relevant information to other healthcare providers, patient/family education regarding patient care.JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Graduate of an accredited PTA program (A. A. Degree).2. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia.3. One year clinical experience as a PTA and home care experience preferred.3. Certification in Basic Life Support and CPR are required.4. Preferred clinical experience in the treatment of patients would include: a. Theory and application of physical therapy in neurologic, orthopedic, pediatric, oncology, and geriatric disorders/dysfunctions b. Clinical application of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, histology, and kinsiology. c. Competence in use of physical modalities such as ultrasound, heat and cold, and electrical stimulation. d. Manual skills in therapeutic exercise and joint mobilization. e. Working knowledge of social sciences and application to community health. f. Organizational and personal time management skills.5. Valid Virginia driver's license.
