Overview:
Marazzi USA plays a key role within the strong global presence of Marazzi Group by decisively meeting the tile needs of the North American market. Manufacturing and sourcing of a vast array of products -- porcelains, glazed ceramics, glass mosaics and metallics -- brings a total tile package that addresses aesthetic and performance requirements of designers, architects and homeowners.
Now a subsidiary of Dal-Tile, Inc., Marazzi is currently sourcing for a Selector to join our team in Florence, AL. Our close-knit team of dedicated professionals has made us the success we are today. The Selector will monitor flow of field tile through saw line process.
Responsibilities:
Select finished tile based on shades and quality criteria (first choice, second choice, waste) Restart saw line when it stops -- clear jams, clear boxes, clear labels and stickers) Feed materials onto line (boxes, labels, stickers, glue, wax, pallets) Re-select tile following production problems Print tickets for pallets Inspect finished pallets with respect to correct labels, codes, stickers; move pallets off of line Set up printers according to stacker settings Keep work area clean and safe, and put tools and supplies in designated storage areas
Qualifications:
Education and Knowledge:
High School diploma or GED required
Experience:
0-1 previous manufacturing/production experience
Competencies:
Good oral and written communications skills
Good record keeping skills
Good listening skills
Accurate measurement capability
Ability to understand and speak basic English
