SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant will provide patient care assistance to the Physicians or Nurse Practitioner. The Medical Assistant will have the following duties and responsibilities of telephone triage support, maintaining patient flow through clinic, bring back patients for their appointments, obtain the medical history form and verify information with the patient, enter medical history information into the EMR system, prep patients for any/all procedures performed in the office, generate referrals, scripts, testing referrals, and all discharge paperwork using an EMR system, schedule the patient's follow up appointment as needed, discharge patient and answer any questions that they may have, order medical supplies and stock inventory, maintain clean exam rooms and stock with supplies, monitor stored medications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of a high school education, with 2-3 years recent experience in a physician's office as a medical assistant; m edical terminology; strong computer skills; ability to work directly with Physicians in a fast-paced/growing environment and a commitment to service excellence. Medical Assistant certification is required.
Triage experience highly desirable
