SUMMARY
Interpret blueprints, job cards, bill of materials, and routing sheets. Deal with problems involving several variables from situations which vary by customized order. Work within precise limits. Bench, MIG, and/or TIG welding experience (aluminum and steel).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and assemble various components for welding more than 50% of the time.
Set up machine for welding.
Weld aluminum components (bench, MIG, TIG).
Weld steel components (bench, MIG, TIG).
Grind welds.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds
Good problem solving skills.
Assemble parts by bolting, riveting or gluing
Repairs products by dismantling, straightening and reshaping
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum one-year certificate from college or technical school and 6 months or more related experience
Proficient in MIG welding on steel and aluminum as demonstrated by on-site weld skills test
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to build or construct product to drawing spec
Ability to train and motivate fellow employees
Ability to use cutting torch oxyacetylene or plasma
Ability to read blueprints
Demonstrated experience using various small and pneumatic hand tools
