Intern Development Program highlights:

· Intern positions are part of a 10-week paid internship program at our retail stores, high-tech warehouses and corporate offices

· Positions are paid, full-time (40 hours/week) opportunities

· All interns will participate in a cross-functional team project; solve a strategic business problem, interact with key leaders and present ideas & findings to Senior Executives, including the CEO and Chief level Officers at the Intern Expo

· Work side-by-side with experienced Team Members and gain exposure to real-world business projects

· Be part of an Intern community service day and participate in intern team building events

· Potential opportunity for a full-time position after successful completion of the program

Requirements

  • Review aspects of Transportation/Distribution, Routing, Scheduling, Route Analysis, Wholesale Customer Service, Safety Prevention and Accident Investigation, Inbound Logistics, System (Warehouse management systems, RF Technology, Transportation Systems/Technology), Labor Force optimization and utilization, Union environment/compliance with collective bargaining agreements and Customer Service.
  • Working specific areas of the operation to have an understanding of product flow. Project topics could include HBC Order Design, Get Go or Each Pick Selection analysis.
  • Analytical work within Safety or Recycling to support warehouse function.
  • Document daily activities to review and discuss with supervisor on a weekly basis
  • Execute special projects on a seasonal (as needed) basis.
