Providence is calling a Telephone Operator (On Call, Variable) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

We are seeking an individual who will provide the exceptional customer service while working quickly and efficiently.

In this position you will:

Answer all incoming calls into the facility's main telephone lines, physician's answering service and in house operator calls.

Provide in person visitor information, reception, and paging.

Coordinate all emergency communications. Monitor Hospital Alarm Panels, handle all Fire and Disaster Drills and operate hospital two-way radios.

Required qualifications for this position include:

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English

Previous customer service experience

Must accurately type a minimum of 45 wpm

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Two (2) years of experience operating a switchboard

Experience in a medical environment

Proficiency in operating a computer

Knowledgeable in medical terminology

Ability to multi-task
