Talent Manager needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Los Angeles, CA



The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:



    - BA/BS degree, and 5+ years experience working in television or entertainment industry.
    - Thorough knowledge of on-air talent business, including understanding of talent contractual terms.
    - Excellent communication Skills
    - The ability to travel quickly and often


What You'll Be Doing:



    - Engage talent early in their production process to build/maintain personal and business relationships.
    - Onboard/orient talent to the network and provide on-going guidance and mentorship throughout the term of the talent's relationship with the company.
    - Track milestones in the talent's personal and professional lives with a focus on understanding the talent's deal terms, interests, skills, expertise, etc.
    - Work closely and build relationships with relevant internal and external parties, including executive producers, lawyers, agents, managers, publicists etc. to form a 360º talent management strategy.
    - Navigate and troubleshoot potential talent crises, such as personality driven and/or contractual issues. Manage situations before, during and after relevant crisis to protect relationships with talent as well as the company's business interests.
    - Broker conversations between talent and business units such as ad sales, marketing, communications, commerce, international, education etc. to develop and support business initiatives and maximize the talent's brands.
    - Secure talent's buy-in on such initiatives/opportunities, and strategize approach to talent to guarantee contractual compliance, manage expectations, and ensure successful execution of plans.
    - Act as strategic counsel to key executives in connection with talent management, talent business strategy, and issue resolution. Advise and recommend short and long-term talent related business strategies aimed at maximizing rights in talent contracts
    - Maintain talent information in talent database, including contact information, representation, brand use, activity and anecdotal information etc.
    - Accompany and manage talent and corporate related activities and events, such as marketing events, ad sales shoots, Upfront presentations, TCA etc.
    - Coordinate all talent travel and logistics as it relates to non-press and production events and according to talent's contracted accommodation terms.


What You Need to Bring to the Table:



    - BA/BS degree, and 5+ years experience working in television or entertainment industry.
    - Thorough knowledge of on-air talent business, including understanding of talent contractual terms.
    - Exceptional interpersonal skills and diplomacy, as well as the ability to exemplify calmness and composure while handling talent in crisis situations.
    - Ability to contribute and thrive in high-energy, high-profile, deadline driven, results and detailed oriented environment.
    - Capacity to manage and prioritize many projects/tasks in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
    - Strong organization, critical reasoning, and problem-solving skills/abilities.
    - Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
    - Applicant genuinely interested in television/entertainment/media business with a curiosity and thirst to learn and grow is preferred.
    - VIP management, Talent management, and/or agency experience is preferred.
    - Ability to travel quickly and often when needed.
