45647 - Sodexo is seeking a Food Retail / Dining Service Manager (II) for the Weinberg Campus, Getzville, NY . This is a 700 Resident senior living facility located adjacent to the University of Buffalo. Weinberg Campus is comprised of 5 Production kitchens and 17 different and distinct dining venues. This Senior Living Campus contains all levels of care; skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, day care, and a youth program. Position maintains food quality and customer service in a high volume retail food operation. Position works closely with other departments while interacting daily with residents and clients to provide exceptional customer service and program enhancements. Success is measured by Client and Resident satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate Skills:

A valid driver's License is required for this position

Food Retail management experience in a health care environment

Strong food production planning and food cost management experience

Servsafe Certified and knowledge of HACCP monitors

Front of the house retail dining and employee training experience

Knowledge of proper cash handling & audit procedures

Skills to assist with training & schedules for 50 union employees

Computer skills to work in software systems

Sodexo operating systems knowledge & ability to read P&L reports

A flexible leadership style for a multigenerational workplace environment

Work hours & days will vary based on department needs and will include rotating weekends/ holidays

Position Summary

Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
