Minimum Requirements:

1. High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

2. Five years of experience troubleshooting and repairing high voltage facility and/or production systems and equipment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with high voltage ranging from 2300-13,800 volts.

2. Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing Variable Frequency Drives.

3. Experience troubleshooting and repairing components up to 480V 3 Phase.

4. Experience with professional installation of electrical services.

5. Experience with conduit installation.

6. Experience calculating and determining circuit load.

7. Thorough understanding of current electrical codes.

8. NFPA-70E Training

* Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.

* Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.

* Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.

* Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.

* Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.

* Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.

* Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.

* Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.

* Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

* Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Special Requirements:

* Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

Job Description:

URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a 1st shift High Voltage Electrician in East Peoria, IL! Typical work hours are 7:00am-3:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.

These positions will require maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical services and components related to facility maintenance. The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of VFD's, facility lighting, single and 3 phase circuits, new electrical service installation, switchgear, etc.

The High Voltage Electricians must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required.

Responsibilities:

* Troubleshoots and repairs electrical control circuits up to 480v 3 phase.

* Troubleshoots and repairs facility electrical circuits up to 13.8kV

* Troubleshoots and repairs PLCs.

* Troubleshoots and repairs VFDs.

* Troubleshoots and repairs cranes and hoists.

* Performs re-builds of breakers and components for sub stations.

* Coordinates work with outside contractors.

* Assures code and building standards are met.

* Performs preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control and operating systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

* Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.

* Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.

* Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.

* Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.

* Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.

* Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.

* Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment, yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.

* Promotes and adheres to the AECOM Safety Structure.

* Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
