We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Financial Services -Internal Auditor.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

Experis is seeking an Internal Auditor for a 2-3 month consulting opportunity with a large financial services firm located in Stamford, CT. The purpose of this position is to plan and direct all audits pertaining to the functions for Bank Holdings. This position will assist in determining the effectiveness of internal controls and the degree of compliance with policies, laws, and regulations. Findings of non-compliances must be communicated to the VP of Operations along with recommendations through verbal and written communication

Job Duties:

  • Develop the audit plan and the audit schedule for each function
  • Review and evaluate audit programs to make certain that audit objectives are being met
  • Assure the audit test for compliance with laws, regulations, and rulings
  • Perform audits where necessary
  • Review completed audits to determine that all audit steps have been covered, work papers are complete and audit reports accurately and complete.
  • Oversee the adequacy of audit programs, work papers, and audit reports
  • Edit and/or write reports that set forth audit findings, assign a rating, make recommendations and include overall summaries for which responses and follow-up are required.
  • Communicate internal controls, control weaknesses, and other risk management concerns to Management.
  • Monitor the progress of all audits
  • Schedule audits and follow up work on a timely basis while considering availability of staff
  • Develop / Update policies and procedures
  • Manage department expenses and annual budget

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance or economics
  • Professional certification such as CRCM or CIA
  • 5+ years of experience managing and directing audit associates
  • 5+ years of experience in internal or external auditing, regulatory compliance, banking, card services audits or mortgage lending audit
