A successful Sales Coordinator will have or be the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University, preferably with an emphasis in Marketing, Communications or Advertsing, plus 2-4 plus years of National Television or Sales Experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • High level of PC PROFICIENCY with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Multitasking skills with an attention to detail strongly preferred.
  • A solid foundation in Media Math.
  • Team oriented and be able to take initiative on projects. 

 

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for daily account management and support to the Chicago office National Advertising Sales team.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Enter orders into system for Media Sales and keep organized and current files for all agency accounts and maintain all order paperwork, meeting all deadlines while providing positive consistent client service.
  • Send pre and post logs to assigned agencies/clients and serve as back-up to the Sales Planner as necessary.
  • Assist Sales in maintaining and updating agency contact list/billing list for assigned agencies and clients and communicate with agency/client contacts daily.
  • View commercial spots for on-air approval, and keep lists of what is received and what is not approved.
  • Contact clients with outstanding balances and update accounts receivable report of outstanding collections for monthly financial review.
  • Communicate with Traffic Department about instructions and/or problems for assigned agencies/clients.
