SUMMARYNETWORK ENGINEER RETAIL Looking for a highly skilled LAN/WAN/WLAN network engineer with CCNA, CCNP certification. The successful candidate primary focus will be the US retail store network infrastructure. However, the position is not limited to that responsibility. Responsibilities will be interacting with a team of network engineers globally in order to insure an overall understanding of the larger networking environment. This individual will be providing level3 daily ongoing operational support of the US retail store network, engaged in store openings, closings, renovations and technology lifecycle initiatives. Candidate should have experience with supporting and operating a larger retail store or large branch office deployment that is regulated under PCI tier. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Superior knowledge, skills & experience with Cisco routing hardware, software, protocols, etc. Strong working knowledge of WAN optimization, preferably Cisco WAAS platformStrong working knowledge of carrier circuits and installations. MPLS, VPN broadband, Metro-E, Point to Point carrier technologies.Technical working knowledge of QoS and CoS implementations Strong troubleshooting skills in support of these technologies in production environmentExperience with management tools to report and perform analysis in supporting the environment, (i.e. Solar winds, etc.).In-depth experience and talent in using packet/ protocol capture tools and software to find and remedy application and networking issues. Willingness to take escalations off hours as part of duties. Positive, proactive, "can do" attitude. Ability to work alone as an individual contributor or as a technical team on larger projects when required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 8+ years of professional experience in WAN/LAN/WLAN networking solutions. Retail Store experience preferred, other industry like banking that have large brank deployments and strict computing environments would be acceptable.Advanced working knowledge of routing protocols BGP & EIGRP, and OSPF.CCNP preferred.In-depth Enterprise MPLS, QoS, Multicast, BGP, EIGRP experience.Demonstrated, in-depth, WAN/LAN/WLAN support, engineering and implementation experience. Advanced knowledge & experience with Cisco routing hardware, software, protocols, etc. Advanced knowledge & experience with Cisco switching hardware, software, protocols, etc.Familiarity with Ciscos Nexus product line.Substantial experience with installation & maintenance of Ciscos WiFi deployments. Working knowledge of structured cabling, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc. In-depth experience with packet / protocol analyzers to find and remedy application and network performance issues. Experience with Cisco WAASExtensive Router, Switch and IP Configuration Experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent required* 8 years plus overall work experience supporting network infrastructure * 5 years minimum work experience in role providing direct support of engineering and implementations of large store or branch internet/intranet networks* Cisco certifications preferred
