The Park City Ticket Scanning Lead is the ultimate resort host. The job of a scanner does not stop at just scanning tickets. The scanning team will help the Park City and Canyons Village base areas with everything from crowd control, talking to guests about our recycling initiatives, and setting up our lift corrals in the morning. The Ticket Scanning Lead provides an Experience of a Lifetime by providing exceptional customer service, quickly resolving guest issues and pass problems, developing a high performing team, and ensuring each guest has a valid pass. They are friendly, approachable, detail-oriented, and enjoy making things easy and memorable for the guest.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Greet, engage, and scan every guest, every time.
- Converse with guests in all areas of interest – from mountain and base area information, to activities around the area – both inside and outside of the resort.
- Identify invalid scans and potential fraudulent users and take appropriate actions to resolve the situation.
- Troubleshoot and ensures the proper functionality of scanning guns.
- Maintain an immaculate work environment by ensuring a clean maze and base area, and monitoring the professionalism and appearance of scanning staff.
- Support and own Vail's values and educate guests on our efforts around them, environmental, community outreach, etc.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays and some evenings. Must be able to fulfill season commitment of mid-April.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of Guest Service experience
- At least 1 year of Leadership Experience (preferred)
- Able to commit to entire season
- Strong and professional communication and organizational skills.
- Ski or Snowboard at an intermediate or higher level-will be tested
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Must stand for extended periods of time in variable alpine winter conditions
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
