Position Description:The HR Operations Specialist (Time and Labor, Verifications) is responsible for providing strategic consulting and support to Human Capital and internal business groups specifically concerning Time and Labor and verification related issues and inquiries. The Specialist helps provide analysis of trends related to their specific job function which contributes to the development management decisions. The Specialist will often interface with specific members of the Human Capital organization across all of the Centers of Excellence (COE).  The Specialist will also maintain relationships with vendor partners and assist with any concerns related to the vendor their area of expertise. Primary Responsibilities:Ensure accuracy in Time and Labor processes across the organizationDevelop communications to inform and update employees on a variety of Time and Labor topics.Research and resolve complex Time and Labor issues while working directly with affected employees and contractorsPartner with 3rd Party vendors to analyze and assist with leave of absence and unemployment related inquires. Analyze and complete requests for verification of employment from various entitiesProvide subject matter expertise and assist in the implementation of new internal processes and technology enhancements. Assist in developing standardized tools, templates, and processes across the HR Operations team.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeKnowledge of payroll tools such as HelpDesk, PeopleSoft, PeopleSoft Time and Labor, with the ability to learn new systems/applicationsCustomer Service skills to communicate with both managers and employeesExperience in a deadline or production environmentExperience utilizing Microsoft Excel (data sorting and filtering) and Word (create documentation)Preferred Qualifications:Experience as a Payroll SpecialistWorking knowledge of the Human Capital process Knowledge of HR policiesHR case management systems experienceCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
