DESCRIPTION:
Assesses enterprise-wide risks and controls and overall compliance management systems in conjunction with audit planning and monitoring activities
Plans, designs and performs financial, compliance, AML/BSA, and operational and credit risk audits for financial institutions
Assesses existing internal audit processes for adequate scope and coverage, and provides guidance and support to client audit staff
Evaluates internal audit structure, tools and processes to validate the efficiency and effectiveness of the function and to develop and present value added recommendations
Maintains subject matter expertise on assigned areas of specialization and supports national FSI practice initiatives and requests in a timely manner. Supports the development of fellow team members
Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent solutions and a strong desire to grow and advance as a professional
Flexibility to respond to changing client and business requirements and to quickly learn and apply new knowledge and skills
High energy and drive to actively participate in the growth of our local market and national FSI practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree. Accounting/Finance or Business Degree and MBA a plus.
Preferred certifications include: Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, etc.
Minimum of 3-5 years or more of clearly progressive, professional development in the general area of risk advisory services and internal audit.
Big 4 or other top tier consulting firm experience at the Auditor, Consultant or Manager level or preferred
Significant FSI expertise at a regional or money center bank or equivalent experience in another financial services industry sector (e.g. capital markets, money services, mortgage origination or servicing, etc.).
Broad understanding of processes and activities that occur within the internal audit functions of Financial Services Firms as well as consulting and audit expertise
Interaction with regulators or Board level committees
Experience managing large projects and interacting with senior level client personnel required
Willingness and ability to travel for client engagements
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with experience in putting together and delivering audit reports, risk assessments and executive level presentations
