Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) The Local Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing the local marketing plans for the Optum Local Care Delivery business and being the Marketing Department liaison to the IPAs within the local operating business.  This position will be principally focused on tactically deploying local marketing programs that quantitatively deliver qualified leads and retain existing patients while building the brand locally.     The Local Marketing Specialist will report to the Local Marketing Manager and will focus their energy and attention in moving the Optum Local Care Delivery business forward within the local network each and every day.        Primary Responsibilities:  Support IPAs within the operating business with their marketing efforts Develop a working understanding and comprehensive utilization of analytical marketing and segmentation models locallyExecute comprehensive rigor that focuses locally on delivering qualified leads & retaining patients to maximize ROIPartner with ROI/Analytics, internal creative sources and CRM colleagues to leverage comprehensive tools & processesEvaluate campaign level results via analytical reporting and own the development for future strategic marketing initiativesExecute local strategies and plans to deliver qualified leads as well as retaining existing patients (with Distribution)Become fluent in value propositions delivered to Field Marketing Organization and health plan broker partners locallyDeploy practice-level tactical support with prioritized Primary Care Physicians per Local Marketing ManagerWork with Local Marketing Manager to develop, apply, manage, analyze, and influence strategic business projects impacting market research and/or market-focused strategiesResponsible for creating and delivering timely marketing programs to increase membership and/or brand recognition/direct response advertisingCreates and oversees distribution of mass communications to providers and members including direct content for newsletters, member guides, photo directories and websitesHelp promote uniformity and consistency of brand

Requirements

Required Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree preferably in Marketing or related field  Skilled in executing local marketing tactics  Demonstrated quantitative skills and conduct routine analyses  2+ years of project management experience  Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, as well as a matrixed environment  Proficient in Microsoft Office products  Excellent communication and organizational skills and experience in deadline driven environment  Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity  Willingness to learn, strong work ethic     Preferred Qualifications:  3+ years of proven experience and accomplishments in the health care industry  Experience with Physician groups and inner workings of physician practices  Careers with Optum.
