About the Job:
A well-established growing construction company providing general contracting, design/build, design/assist and development management services for its private sector commercial and residential clients in Southern and Northern California regions. We recruit highly capable, energetic, business-oriented problem solvers and train them in our comprehensive project delivery system. From inception, we ensure that our managers understand our corporate tenet to always "move heaven and earth" for our customers.

We have an immediate opening for a project engineer. This individual reports directly to the Project Manager and Project Director.


Responsibilities:
* Review engineering drawings, plans, computations, estimates and reports.
* Run design coordination meetings with consultants and subcontractors.
* Prepare, monitor and update Master schedules.
* Manage Project Engineers directly reporting to the candidate.
* Manage and Prepare project documents (RFI's, change order, submittals and schedules)
* Be the first line of filter for potential change orders and report to the Project Manager.
* Facilitate timely preparation and delivery of all required submittal documentation.
* Maintain accurate records for all phases of contract administration including schedules, RFI's, change orders,
transmittals, submittals, etc.
* Help identify potential coordination problems or missing information.
* Regularly survey jobsites to ensure quality control and conformance with contract specifications.
Requirements:

We are seeking a Project Engineer with the following qualifications:

* 2-4 years of general construction experience
* A degree in Engineering, Architecture or Management.
* Ability to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals.
* Good communication skills (written and oral)
* A basic understanding of MEP systems, other design disciplines and construction processes.
* Knowledge of subcontracts, work scope and cost structure.
* Basic knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
* Capable of creating master schedules and managing them.
* Proficient computer skills.
* Ability to maintain a professional and business like attitude in a fast paced environment.
* Candidates should be skilled with the MS Office environment, specifically Excel, Word & Outlook and
recognize that detail oriented tasks are critical. Additional experience with Primevera, Microsoft Project, Auto CAD, and Sketch Up is preferred.
* Residential, Multi Family, Commercial project experiences with wood frame, structural steel, architectural and
Structural concrete.
