Research Associate/Scientist, Cell Culture

BONUS:

immunostaining and FACS

This position will report to the Manager of Retinal Progenitor Project and will be responsible for routine pluripotent stem cell culture, differentiation, cell maintenance/storage, cell based assays and purification related tasks. This individual will partner closely with the various Research/Manufacturing personnel and outside collaborators.

* Maintain and scale up cultures for hESC and iPS cell lines and their differentiation toward retinal cells.
* Collaborate with colleagues for optimization of the laboratory processes for increased efficiency.
* Preparation of cells to meet the demands of multiple projects that will require flexible hours.
* Perform cell based assays and FACS analysis.
* Data analysis and documentation.
* Accurate and reliable record keeping.
* Other procedures and techniques as required.

Requirements:
* B.S./M.S. degree in biology or related fields.
* At least 1+ years bench work experience in cell culture.
* Punctual, reliable, efficient with attention to detail.
* Strong work ethic.
* Authorized to work in the U.S.
