The Senior Finance Program Management Director for Enterprise Integration Services (OPS) will lead large scale, highly complex projects and strategic initiatives crossing business segments, teams and operating groups. Typical projects may include integration/platform migration initiatives or specific finance components within a broader integration and/or cost savings initiatives across various UHG business segments and functional areas. The Senior Finance Program Director will lead cross functional teams including roadmap development, oversight of business analysis, current & future state analysis, "Going in Position" development, high level financial assessment, risk management and risk mitigation. This role will also include resource identification and allocation, development of program documentation/maintenance, reporting and oversight of other resources such as Project Managers and Business Analysts. This position is also responsible for facilitating program team meetings, status reviews and escalating key issues/barriers and risks across the programs.
 
This position also requires the ability to make presentations to senior leadership, ensure that processes are clearly defined and communicated to the organization, and for making changes to processes as needed to fit the needs of the organization.
 
This position involves program management responsibilities that require extensive knowledge of the business, finance, health care processes, program evaluation and reporting, supporting fact-based decision making, and ensuring financial management discipline.
 
Primary Responsibilities:


Support and drive specific aspects of the project lifecycle to ensure successful execution (opportunity assessment, gap analysis, current state/future state analysis, etc.)
Partner with segment resources to initiate, leverage and deploy solutions across the enterprise as an individual contributor
Develop presentations for senior leadership
Work with business partners on the development of business strategies
Motivate and inspire other team members and when needed review and provide recommendations on deliverables
Build financial business case at a project or program level to articulate costs & benefits

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or related field or equivalent experience
A minimum of three years of finance program / project management experience
Ability to travel up to 25% annually
5+ years of healthcare industry experience
Proficient in managing multiple projects/tasks to meet deadlines
Experience as an individual contributor managing large cross segment projects and cost-savings initiatives
Demonstrated ability to work within cross functional business processes in a matrixed environment within the healthcare/managed care industry
Proven ability to influence course of action when others are directly accountable for outcome
Ability to understand the underlying business model and question / challenge others to think through the problems, improvement opportunities, solutions, and plans
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and the ability to facilitate meetings
Proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into tactical initiatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization skills, and ability to balance multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:


In-depth knowledge of health care processes and operations
PMI certification
Six sigma and/or continuous process improvement experience
Skill and experience with Visio, Project, and SharePoint
