An Insurance Company in Charleston is currently in need of 2 Medical Records Review Nurses. The perfect fit for this position will be able to retrieve/abstract medical records and correctly enter them into a database. Nurses will work independantly and on a team to process those records.
Job Requirements
- Must have an active South Carolina RN or LPN License
- Must have previous experience with Medical Record Review, Data Abstraction, or HEDIS
- Strong clinical background with comprehensive experience
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Must be proficient with PC-based systems and data entry software
- Review and integrate medical information from diverse sources including medical records, immunization registries and provider offices
- Document abstraction findings as required and prepare additional reports as needed
- Communicate all project issues including scheduling, assignment, fax/mail correspondence, and supervisor alerts in a timely manner
- Make outbound calls to physician offices to get medical records and put them in a database for review
