About this job

Our scientific client in Salem, MA is seeking 4 experience customer service representatives to start as soon as possible. There are multiple shift times between 8am-8pm.


Must haves for all openings:
1 - Great communication skills over the phone (Spanish Speaking is a plus) and able to work in fast paced team environment
2 - At least 6 months of inbound calling experience - 60-80 calls per day
3 - Flexibility as needed for shift coverage between 8am - 8pm. Will have set schedule, but they like flexibility as needed
4 - Able to handle administrative tasks each day on patient accounts/test kits - Mailings, Filings, Faxing, Scanning, etc

Responsibilities

  • Follow up with patients to ensure they are administering test correctly
  • Fax results to clients on a daily basis
  • Register patients into internal database
  • Follow up with physician practices to retrieve missing patient demographic or insurance information or physician's signature
  • Research and resolve incorrect addresses to obtain updated mailing addresses and resubmit invoices
  • Answer all inbound phone calls, answering inquiries if customer service-related, sending calls to appropriate department
  • Follow up with individuals for unpaid self-pay balances
  • Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to: mailings, filing, faxing, document scanning and coping
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience - healthcare/medical customer service experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • - Familiarity with medical/hospital billing systems and third-party payment processes desired
  • Knowledgeable about HIPAA
  • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
