GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares detailed drawings and BOM's of Huck Installation Equipment. The Drafter I position recognizes proficiency in performing duties by operating CAD/CAM terminals.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

1. Accurately details parts and assemblies.
2. Prepares required engineering notices and record prints.
3. Inputs required data for BOM updates.
4. Prepares layout drawings as required to support design and engineering efforts.
5. Prepares TCX's (inspection support drawings used with comparator).
6. Operates 3D CAD terminal and related equipment such as plotters and printers.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Occasional contacts with:

1. Purchasing to expedite drafting supplies or prototype equipment
2. Vendors to clarify specifications.
3. Other divisional engineering and marketing personnel to provide technical information.

EDUCATION

High School with mechanical drawing courses. Associates degree in drafting or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Three to five years experience drafting in a mechanical engineering group using 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) terminal.

• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic principles.

SAFETY
• Knowledge of how to locate and use chemicals and the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) used to perform quality checks to ensure safety gear is accessible and present.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards to ensure quality problems are addressed correctly without impairing health and safety.
• Knowledge of how to be proactive in responding to a safety concern and document occurrences.
• Knowledge of OSHA and other health and safety requirements as applied to the workplace.
• Knowledge of the hazards in the workplace (i.e. spills, noise, air pollution) to ensure personal and fellow employees health and safety.
• Knowledge of various emergency alarms and procedures and exits.
• Knowledge of what the law requires companies to post or publish in order to keep employees abreast of OSHA and other government regulations.

8:00am to 5:00pm Monday- Friday
