Job Description:

This senior position defines the architecture, technology, and development process for building leading-edge Population Health Management Business Intelligence data warehouses and applications for external Healthcare Industry clients. The successful candidate will use his/her experience to provide leadership and direction to a team of customer focused BI technology team members, striving to deliver high quality and continuously improving BI solutions to a wide range of healthcare providers and payers.

Job functions and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:

- Works with 3M consultants and business analysts to uncover and translate business needs and requirements into technical solutions

- Responsible for the overall design of the Date Warehouse ETL technical architecture and supporting infrastructure

- Communicates high level data warehouse and application system architecture design to the development team

- Works with internal Security and Compliance directors to ensure the regulated control of sensitive healthcare data

- Participates with Business Analysts and Quality Assurance teams in the creation of user acceptance tests, application tests, quality reports, and supporting processes and infrastructure.

- Collaborates with Client Implementations, Operations, Production Support and IT as necessary to support systems which are running in production environments.

- Represents project team on architectural review, change control and system security organization reviews and audits

- Drives process improvements and reinforces best practices for long term sustainability

Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or higher from an accredited university

- Minimum seven (7)+ years of experience developing successful high-performing Business Intelligence Data Warhouse (BIDW) applications

- Minimum seven (7)+ years of experience in SQL Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Data Warehouse principles and best practices

- Minimum five (5)+ years of experience with one or more commercial ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica.

- Minimum five (5)+ years development experience with at least one commercial Business Intelligence solution such as MicroStrategy, Cognos, or Business Objects

- Minimum three (3)+ years of experience with Big Data

- Minimum three (3)+ years of technical architecture and leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree Experience as a technical lead or manager.

- Experience developing successful integrations with externally hosted applications and services.

- Experience using standard methods for ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive Patient Health Information

- Can create clear and comprehensive technical architecture design documentation and diagrams

- Possesses excellent Project Management, Release Planning, and Project Segmentation skills

- Possesses excellent written, oral and listening communication skills.

- Demonstrated experience at successfully leading and influencing teams of diverse skillsets via agile methodologies

- Demonstrates a desire for continuous advancement of knowledge; maintains pace with technology trends

- Past experience designing infrastructure to support multi customer data operations and process automation

- MicroStrategy 9 & 10 Report Developer, Object Manager, System Manager

- SQL Server 2008 T-SQL and Troubleshooting & Performance Engineering

- Source code management systems such as Subversion, Microsoft Team Foundation Server

- Continuous deployment software systems such as Jenkins

- Automated Testing and Quality Assurance Experience

- Healthcare Industry and Healthcare Data Experience

- A strong business acumen

- Strong time management skills and the initiative to resolve problems by communicating promptly and driving projects forward

- Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in order to interact effectively with a broad spectrum of people, both individually and in groups

- Must be a creative and original thinker

- The successful candidate will exhibit professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, dependability, and a strong work ethic
