About this job
We are looking for a Resident Service Specialist for our apartment complexes located in the Northern California area. This position is part time (min. 6 hrs/wk, average 12 hrs./week, depending on site location). Compensation is $12 - $15 per hour, depending on your experience.
Our Resident Service Specialists (RSS) are responsible for our weekday afterschool program, planning site events for the residents, providing community service referrals to residents as needed, and leading PHI activities at these sites to enhance the educational, employment or social development of residents - adults, seniors and/or children. Our RSS will engage with residents to encourage participation in new or existing activities and may promote activities & programs via distribution of flyers, speaking at resident meetings, etc. Activities may include organizing and facilitating individual or group sessions such as:
* homework assistance;
* sports, games;
* arts and crafts, music, dance, drama;
* household budgeting;
* job skills;
* computer skills; life skills (youth)
* have fun!!
The ideal candidate for this position has completed high school, has some college education - preferably in early childhood education, social work, or other human services field; basic computer skills; Has a clean DMV record, is capable of clearing a national criminal background check, including fingerprint scans, and has at least two years of acceptable work history.
