Established by physicians in 1922, Dreyer Medical Clinic is an affiliate of Advocate Health Care. With more than 170 physicians representing nearly 30 different medical specialties, Dreyer offers a full range of ancillary services within its facilities and the support of over 60 allied health professionals. Dreyer has 13 convenient sites located in Aurora, Batavia, Hinckley, North Aurora, Oswego, Yorkville, Plainfield and St. Charles.
Shift: Monday through Friday; 8-5 with some flexibility
High School Graduate or GED.
Billing and coding course work, a plus.
1~3 yrs experience in business office, medical office, or insurance related industry.
Functional PC skills with ability to type 30 WPM.
Basic knowledge of MS office products. (Word, Excel)
Ability to learn software related to position. (EPIC/IDX, etc.)
Familiar with medical billing and/or medical insurance and practices.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of Clinic staff, vendors and patients.
Professional and responsive customer service skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines and achieve results.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must be proactive and able to work independently.
None required. Continuous and repetitive manual movement associated with computer usage.
Prolonged sitting.
Demonstrate ability to succeed in changing environment and handle growth.
To perform the Patient Account Representative duties in a cost effective, results oriented and customer~focused manner. Manage and expedite insurance verification, revenue qualification, and billing and collection activity for Dreyer Medical Clinic in accordance with the regulations established by the Federal and State governments as well as the Clinic's individual policies and procedures.
Accountabilities:
Business and department strategies
Assists in the managing of collection and self~pay receivables.
Assists in the managing of insurance receivables
Works directly with customers in person, written or by telephone to assist them in understanding Dreyer Medical Clinic's financial policy as it applies to their account.
Responsible for the integrity of the GE/IDX Billing Accounts Receivable database.
