Overview
Provides direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the perioperative environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with maintenance of PACU equipment and inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Communication skills as evidenced by:
Actively supports Performance Improvement initiatives by following hospital policies, procedures, and programs; provides ongoing peer education (i.e., Customer Satisfaction, Physician Satisfaction, Co-Worker Satisfaction, and Process Improvement):
Demonstrates behavior that is supportive of cost effective patient care:
Enhances professional growth and development:
Provides safe environment of care for patients, visitors, and staff:
Provides age specific knowledge and skills where applicable. Works effectively with various cultures and ethnic groups.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Arkansas
Experience:
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support
Other: Basic computer knowledge
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Education: BSN preferred
Preferred Licensure:
Preferred Experience: Prefer one year work experience in acute care
Preferred Certifications: Current ACLS or Basic EKG or Arrhythmia identification certification recommended
CPAN preferred, PALS preferred
Preferred Other: Additional languages preferred
