About this job

We are assisting a client of ours with their immediate opening Consulting/Business Development Mail Transport Equipment Services Center Opportunity. This position will be responsible for providing consulting services to our customer to expand their market to the United States Postal service Mail Transport Equipment Services Center (MTESC). This role requires a vibrant, goal-oriented, relationship building executive who successfully captures new business.
General Summary
The primary goal is to provide business development support to include developing proposal strategy, writing/editing tasks, reviews and proposal preparation. Consulting work may be performed virtually from an off-site location or at any of our customers locations.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assess the MTESC marketplace
• Identify potential MTESC opportunities for pursuit--
• Provide Competitor analysis for each opportunity
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) for each opportunity
• Participate in the development of a proposal strategy and a go/no go decision
• Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our business and drive margin growth
• Build and grow a pipeline of potential business
Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing or business related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10 or more years of business development and operations experience in mail manifesting service
• Proven reputation for excellence in the industry and with the USPS
• Ability to write and prepare proposals, pitch to senior internal and external decision-makers
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and produce results
