What you'll do We're looking for people who are comfortable working in a warehouse environment as well as navigating the streets of NYC. Successful team members will understand that they play a pivotal role in making customers happy and we need people who are flexible to do whatever they can to meet customer expectations. An average hour in an average day includes picking inventory, packing it, sorting it, and delivery. Hours are 15-25 hours per week. -Basic inventory put away functions using an RF handheld scanning device -Picking inventory using RF handheld scanning device -Inventory control / quality assurance tasks -Face-to-face customer interaction while delivering Basic Qualifications -Must be at least 18 years old -Must have a High School diploma or equivalent -Must be willing and able to work on a flexible schedule and work overtime as required -Must be able to communicate in English, written or verbally -Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds as well as routinely carry up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation -Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours -Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely
• Read maps and utilize GPS technology while navigating NYC and use NYC transportation network.
• Utilize computer and wireless technology, e.g. smartphones, radio and scanners
• Working nights, weekends, and holidays may be required depending on time of year and business need Preferred Qualifications
• One year of route transportation or courier experience in NYC
• Prior experience in warehouse environment
