POSITION PURPOSE -

The Project Analyst works to assist in the preparation of economic and financial analysis. Individuals will work on a combination of ad hoc analysis/data pulling, project work, and documentation of existing process/procedures.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

  • Performs economic and financial research and analyzes internal and external issues related to sales, gross margin, rate of return, working capital, investment, financial performance, and other financial metrics.
  • Compiles or prepares reports, graphs and charts of developed data.
  • Gathers and correlates basic information using established and defined financial procedures

NATURE AND SCOPE -

  • Position reports to Manager of Finance
  • No direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

  • Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy and/or may be involved in some mildly difficult situations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must pass the Drug Test.
  • Must pass the Background Check.
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 00

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -

  • Recent undergraduate with major in Finance or Economics with related internship preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • MS Office experience desired

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -

  • Strong initiative and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to distinguish the 'big picture' objectives and specific details.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver insights and recommendations based on analyses.
  • Understanding of the P&L and other financial statements, as well as a strong proficiency in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and formatting for executive presentations), and PowerPoint.
