General Summary:

This person contributes to Pepsi Beverages Company's success by performing period and quarterly closing processes for joint venture and co-op entities, providing support to field teams and senior management and managing the timely and accurate consolidation into PBC's results.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

Joint Venture

Complete period, quarter and annual closing of the financial statements

Review results, including analysis and comparisons to prior period, prior year, forecast, and plan

Perform elimination journal entries, review and report the consolidated results

Complete periodic balance sheet reconciliations and schedules, as well as quarterly balance sheet analytics

Act as liaison for local CFO and the various HQ departments contracted to perform services for the joint venture

Coordinate and lead the annual audit with the external auditors

Support CFO and local finance staff

Co-op Entities

Work with local accounting teams to manage timely submission of periodic results

Maintain chart of accounts mapping and review periodic data feed for accuracy

Perform elimination journal entries, review and report the consolidated results

Forecast periodic results for internal management reporting

Complete balance sheet validation and internal reporting schedules

Coordinate and lead annual balance sheet review and analyze differences in accounting policies for potential conformity adjustments

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Accounting required and 3-5 years+ of related experience

CPA preferred

Proficient in Excel, Word, Oracle, Hyperion and Business Objects

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Strong team player

Prior experience with consolidations, eliminations and/or minority interest calculations a plus
