About this job
Constructs, repairs, and troubleshoots a wide variety of production and prototype electronic equipment. Interprets schematics, manufacturing specifications, engineering drawings and Plant Engineering Work Orders. Determines maintenance and repair requirements, repairs as required. Works without direct supervision and when needed provides technical leadership to lower grade technicians.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Use basic hand tools.
* Use mills and lathes to manufacture and repair special parts.
* Use soldering and de-soldering equipment to repair and construct circuit boards and electronic circuits.
* Use standard test instruments to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment to include but not limited to digital storage oscilloscopes, volt AC/DC calibration standards and network analyzers.
* Construct prototype production equipment from Plant Engineering Work Orders and engineering drawings.
* Provide technical leadership to lower grade technicians.
* Will perform other duties as defined.
* Requires associate degree and/or equivalent experience of eight (8) years.
