POSITION PURPOSE -
This position will be responsible for testing or leading a testing team to cerify applications in At Home Services group of Home Depot. Applications use several technologies including Java, .NET, VB Script, HTML, CRM, iOS, SQL Server,  etc.. They will be actively working with various business and development groups to certify software updates/enhancements and ensure the maintenance of the systems stays current and the systems maintain an excellent experience for our users.  Troubleshooting and resolution of operational/system problems and issues is a frequent need in this role as bugs/defects are discovered and need to be reproduced.  This person will  need to be able to develop and execute the test plans, scripts, and procedures to support the application testing and performance testing efforts. This person needs to be familiar with HP Quality Center and other testing tools 


MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
-

  • Develop and analyze master test plans, test cases, test schedules & test scripts from Analysts and Associates.
  • Identify and thoroughly analyze defects, issues, risks, and action items along with identifying the business requirements & the system requirements as part of the project team.
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics.
  • Monitor & instruct team members on proper procedures to ensure team compliance.
  • Provide status reports to Manager on development projects.
  • Sign-off on test strategy, test development, and test results prior to implementation into production.

    NATURE AND SCOPE -
  • Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology
  • Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

    ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

    Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

    Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 3

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
  • 3+ years experiance in testing web applications written in Java, .Net and variety of CRM's 
    3+ years experience in understanding business requirements and coming up with test cases to certify new and existing systems/applications
    3+ years experience certifying data validations in variety of databases including SQL Server, Oracle
    Experience in Call Center application, Configurator/Ordering, Scheduling, Accounting (Costs and payments) a plus.
    Strong oral and written communication skills.
    Strong team player that works well with others.
    Self-Motivated, Well Organized, and able to drive tasks/tickets to resolution with minimal direction.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -

  • Solid working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the Mercury Interactive Product Suite.
  • The ability to successfully, professionally, and diplomatically interact with others and develop relationships with people in the organization.
  • Ensure highest quality through use of QA processes & procedures.
