Group Rooms Coordinator - Full-time

As Group Coordinator, you will ensure the effective coordination and administration of all group rooms and negotiated transient room bookings as per the reservation procedure.  Specifically, you will be responsible for: 

Monitor and analyze rooms inventory wit the Director of Revenue Management to maximize occupancy and increase average rate.  This includes monitoring group blocks, managing group fall out and rate terms and conditions. 

Maintain contact with clients who hold an existing group booking. Process all group rooming lists, reservations, details and special requests of group bookings. 

Prepare reporting daily and weekly for distribution within the hotel.

Assist in development of revenue forecasts.

Job Skills: 

Strong technical skills in Word, Excel, Outlook along with good internet navigation skills.

Excellent organizational skills, flexibility.

Experience with hotel PMS systems and operational proficiency.

Excellent interpersonal skills.  Superior oral/written communication skills; ability to interact successfully with all levels.

Excellent telephone etiquette.

Knowledge of general office equipment ( eg., fax machine, copy machine, printers)

Tact and good judgment and proven experience interacting with customers and hotel management.

Active listening and speaking skills.

Use personal judgment and specialized knowledge to give information to people.

Communicate well with many different kinds of people.

Change easily and frequently from one activity to another such as from typing to interviewing, to searching in a directory, to using a telephone.
