Manpower, Inc. of SE Michigan is currently seeking two (2) part-time schedulers to join our health care team and work in-house at our Ann Arbor, MI office. These will be temporary positions, working evening and weekend shifts (exact schedule TBD). Must be able to work a flexible, sometimes non-traditional schedule including, days/afternoons/midnights, weekdays, weekends, holidays, and on-call.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule 24/7/365 patient care associates for daily assignments in accordance to customer or patient requests.
- Communicate patient coverage to customers.
- Work directly with various customers to achieve staffing goals.
- Troubleshoot to resolve the problems or complaints of customers, candidates, and/or associates.
- Answer incoming calls and provide desired information to caller/direct calls to the appropriate staff. If needed, transfer calls to voicemail and/or take and deliver messages.
- Answer all incoming after-hours phone calls, handle any attendance-related or staffing issues.
- Perform any after-hours assignment end/termination calls.
- Respond to and complete any shift-related emails, data entry, and/or documentation.
- Converse with and/or counsel patient care associates as needed regarding Manpower and/or customer and assignment policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Assist in prescreening candidates over the phone using Manpower Discovery Questions.
- Effectively prepare candidates for their visit to the Manpower office and/or interview process; discussing pre-employment requirements and next steps in the process.
- Maintain accurate information as it relates to customers, candidates, and associates within Manpower's database to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation and/or delivery of orientations, trainings, or compliancy.
- Sort and route internal materials and documents to appropriate teams and/or individuals.
- Perform a variety of other general office support tasks and project work.
- Provide staffing support and other assistance to the 24/7/365 patient care positions and service teams.
- Maintain and complete any reports as needed/expected in a timely manner.
- Utilize the systems, processes, and technology (scaffolding) currently in place to effectively and efficiently carry out tasks.
- Maintain a shared services mindset - sharing resources, providing feedback, asking questions, offering ideas, openly communicating, and learning from one other.
- Participate and assist with marketing and recruiting efforts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or appropriate business experience a plus.
- Previous general office/clerical experience desired.
- Experience working in a direct patient care or hospital setting is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment.
- Ability to present yourself professionally in communication and appearance.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, managers and a diverse group of customers, candidates, and associates.
- Self-driven and the ability to work independently, with little supervision.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task with interruptions and shift priorities as needed.
- Ability to remember information or find it as needed.
- Ability to access areas where needed people, information or equipment are located.
- Ability to understand and accurately apply basic math skills.
- Ability to make competent use of work-related equipment and materials.
- Cooperative, team-oriented, patient, calm under pressure, and able to work independently.
- Strong PC skills, ability to learn/navigate Manpower systems, good data entry, and MS Office skills.
