Position Summary:

Project Manager Co-op is filled by engineering students on a semester or quarter basis as they progress through their engineering program. Work as a member of the Logistics Engineering team under supervision of a Senior Project Manager and complete assigned projects or assist Project Managers in the completion of projects.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in the completion of pre-construction checklists.
• Assist in execution of contractor bid process.
• Assist in weekly tasks related to construction, energy and environmental projects.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of equipment orders.
• Assist in tracking equipment orders and scheduling deliveries in accordance with construction schedule.
• Assist with project closeout (i.e. punchlists, asbuilts, final invoicing, filing).
• Assist in the inspection of capital projects (comparing them to corporate spec's).
• Coordinate reviews of refrigeration, pavement, and equipment plans with technician staff.
• Assist in the review of change orders and their validity.
• Provide assistance to other Project Managers as requested.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Student at an accredited college or university
• Working toward a 4 year degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Chemical Engineering or Building Construction
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel (25%)
