The Manager's role is to create the energy and vibe that makes The Counter® unique.
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing all operations of the restaurant during opening or closing shifts. Key responsibilities include hiring, managing, supervising and training restaurant team members and upholding The Counter Culture and all aspects of the company’s mission, purpose and values. Every Guest should have Fun and be made to feel Comfortable and Welcome at all times.
Job Duties:
Optimize profits by controlling food, beverage and labor costs.
Hiring, training, coaching and developing hospitality-focused team members.
Increasing sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
Provide leadership and direction to all team members to ensure efficient operation.
Achieving company goals for sales, cost control and profitability.
Complying with all Federal, State and local laws, as well as The Counter policies and procedures.
Managing the performance of the hourly team members to drive efficient execution of all restaurant operations.
Consistently enforces and maintains product quality, store cleanliness and other company standards.
Understands how each position on the team impacts guests, employees, and overall restaurant operations.
Provides direction, supervision, and feedback for Team Members to maintain high levels of productivity, team morale, and motivation.
Effectively plans, organizes, and implements all daily operational routines and activities.
Able to establish an environment of trust to ensure honest, open, and direct communication.
Manage all necessary repair and maintenance issues
Manage local restaurant marketing, sales building, and community involvement
Exercise discretion and independent judgment
Ensure safety & sanitation
Our managers typically work a 5 day 50 hour work week.
Requirements
Skills / Qualifications:
A minimum of two years full service, high volume, fast casual dining restaurant management experience
High personal integrity, professionalism and maturity
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Solid relationship management and performance management skills
Ability to motivate and direct team members and work effectively in management team
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
Strong writing and documentation skills
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
Proven problem-solving abilities
Exceptional guest service orientation
Ability to stand and walk around a restaurant to supervise operations for 8-12 hours
Ability to lift 25 pounds
