Sr. Accountant - Full-time / Part-time

Miami, FL trade company has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant in a small office environment; to provide accounting and financial experience to their team.

Duties Include:

       Process all aspects of Accounts Payable

       Responsible for the accurate and timely processing and disbursement of vendor obligation and ensures the integrity of the financial accounting system

       Analyze and prepare reconciliations (ie. petty cash) and journal entries

       Perform Inter-Company Accounting, analysis and reconciliations

       Actively participate in Month End-Close process (MTM, Inventory, B/S account Reconciliation, Accruals analyses)

       General Ledger Analysis, reviews and reconciliations

       Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

       Prepare daily P&L (understanding of Futures, Options a plus)

       Facilitate and provide support for year-end, interim, and other audit work, as required

       Other duties as assigned

Requirements Include:

       4 year degree in Accounting,

       3 to 5 years related professional experience.

       ERP knowledge preferred

       Proficiency in MS Excel required, Advance excel preferred

       Knowledge and understanding of GAAP

       Trading business accounting knowledge a plus

       Self-motivated/critical thinker

       Detail-oriented professional with ability to handle complex reporting while meeting firm deadlines, sometimes with short turnaround

       Flexible working hours

       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

       Fast learner and ability to focus on the overall goals while still working with details

       Bilingual (Spanish / English) a must
