The ideal Marketing Planner is a key contributor to the overall team. The Planner will demonstrate strong leadership abilities and bring new ideas, critical thinking and a commitment to meeting marketing goals. We are looking for someone who will bring their marketing expertise in driving customers to shop, together with a dedication to using marketing analytics to drive the strongest marketing outcomes.

A day in the life…

  • Assist in planning and executing to the vision and strategies that support Company goals; provide ideas, themes and messaging to reach/surpass projected KPI's.
  • Produce campaign communication information to provide visibility with cross-functional partners.
  • Develop, evolve and execute processes across Marketing channels incorporating analysis of our marketing efforts to drive highly effective marketing activities.
  • Prepare and present findings in a format easily understood by broad audiences.
  • Write effective and clear marketing briefs.
  • Collaborate with peers and leaders to ensure project outcomes align with priorities and direction.
  • Plan, facilitate and/or execute projects and tests; including owning entire larger impact projects, as assigned.
  • Lead use of analytics to plan the most effective ways we can achieve our marketing goals; turn data and analysis into actionable insights that lead to improved decision making.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the target customer, retail, marketing and competitive trend.
  • Assist in the development of the department budget; manage project budgets through the life of projects keeping them on budget.
  • Research and resolve issues using appropriate resources.

You own this if you have…

  • 3+ years of marketing experience executing marketing initiatives (specifically digital marketing, events/PR, catalog/editorial).
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners (merchants, vendors, etc.).
  • 3+ year of experience with marketing reporting/analysis and working cross-functionally with analytics teams.
  • Marketing experience in the retail industry is preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables and experience in creating data models).
  • Understanding of basic finance principles (ROI, receipt projections, etc).
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
