About this job

Our client is a leader in next generation theme park attractions and is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help design attractions for the entertainment industry with a strong emphasis on innovation, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conceptualizing and designing high-quality and high-reliability entertainment attractions.
  • Work with designers and drafters to design systems in CAD, but also capable of performing CAD work independently.
  • Develop mechanical and electromechanical products by implementing customer requirements with an emphasis on safety and ease of maintainability.
  • Perform engineering calculations to verify system design and document the analysis for customer review, finite element analysis a plus.
  • Work with designers and drafters to create and/or check assembly and detail drawings for fabrication, but also able to create drawings independently.
  • Confirm final product acceptability by designing and supervising factory acceptance testing methods and documenting results.
  • Support production throughout building, testing, installation and commissioning.

Qualifications Needed

  • In depth, hands on experience and knowledge of SolidWorks required. AutoCAD and Inventor knowledge a plus.
  • Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required
  • Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in Mechanical Design Engineering
  • Recent hands on experience with Solidworks
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC, welding, sheetmetal production
