Job Description:
  • Location: Brighton, CO
  • Direct hire
  • $71,000 + 5%-10% annual bonus potential
  • Schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts, switching every 2 weeks between days and nights (week 1: working 3 days/week, week 2: working 4 days/week)

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating variety of machines and activities to manufacture parts and the fabrication of structural products by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Implements and supports self-managed teams.
  • Promote workplace safety and educate Team members on safety policies and procedures. Conduct safety walks to identify hazards, and then involve the Team in correcting identified hazards. Investigate and complete reports on injuries and near misses.
  • Manage quality measures, process indicators, material and labor over consumptions.
  • Manage complex manpower schedules to balance production and team member���s needs.
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • After self-managed team involvement, analyses, resolves work problems, and assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Develops capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
  • Manage process optimization.
  • Appraise performance and set expectations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning to optimize workflow process.
  • Work with employee schedules.
  • Ensure teams are within regulatory and internal compliance, when and how to use and handle hazardous materials, and understand their hazards at various locations using machines and equipment, properly segregate hazardous materials and waste.
  • Ensure team promptly communicates to warehouse and/or shipping the transport of hazardous materials and waste according to strict regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Assists Production as needed.
  • And all other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises 35+ employees in the Production department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and coaching employees; overseeing, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and employee development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
