Demonstrates a love of food and passion for people to include incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through example and education of team members. Institutes "best practice" leadership and management principles and ensures adherence to organizational procedures, policies, and systems. Drives sales and profits through innovative merchandising approaches, industry knowledge and technical expertise. Responsible for the most efficient use of space for in-store merchandising and marketing for all departments including perishables. Allocates and directs the merchandising initiatives. Conducts routine store walks to monitor displays, sell-through and replenishment needs. Verifies execution of key deliverables including merchandising standards, product set integrity, product training and Point of Purchase signing. Coaches and mentors team members in merchandise and display execution and provides performance feedback. Plans, coordinates, schedules and measures sales events and product demonstrations for all departments to increase sales. Interprets and utilizes all available reports to enhance merchandise plans. Develops and executes strategic plans for seasonal merchandising. Communicates daily with Co-Store Director ongoing department status, including successes, issues and planning.

Basic Qualifications SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises team members working in the pricing department. Direct supervision responsibilities include hiring, firing, disciplinary action, performance reviews, coaching, developing work plans, training, and providing work direction.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school education and five years experience in the supermarket industry, with participation in a management training program, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Comprehensive working knowledge of store operations and personnel functions preferred.
