About this job

Responsible for Patient Care Coordination workflow management, assisting with adjudication issues, responding to questions, and assisting with escalations and elevated telecommunications.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Monitors and manages work queues to ensure timely coordination of referrals and orders
Prioritizes workload and demonstrates ability to lead in a fast paced work environment
Provides direction and guidance to less experienced team members
Handles escalated issues and elevated telecommunications
Provides training and development for newly onboarded and existing staff
Makes recommendation to management team related to professional development and staff training needs
Provides input with hiring and promotion decisions and performance reviews but is not responsible for making final hiring decision or conducting performance reviews
Assists and supports management team with workflow management including scheduling and coordinating team functions and activities
Performs other duties as assigned and within scope of practice

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in customer service
1+ years of experience in pharmacy field or related medical field
Proficient in duties of Patient Care Coordinator and Senior Patient Care Coordinator
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Strong teamwork and cooperation skills
Strong knowledge of organizational policies and procedures
Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals
Ability to document routine reports and correspondence
Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, and diagram form
Ability to manage issues involving multiple variables
Strong knowledge of pharmacy dispensing system and Specialty pharmacy
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient computer and organizational skills with the ability to focus on workload and achievement of both production and quality objectives
Preferred Qualifications:

Two-year health care related degree
