About this job
Observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Complete all training as assigned and in the time allotted
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Complete other duties as assigned
Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures
Processes include first machining, skim cut machining, pre-oxy machining and post-oxy machining
Basic operation knowledge of the following elements is expected:
Machine set ups on CNC lathes, CNC mills, engravers and scales for all programs and part types including production and/or engineering parts Visual inspection of machine for damage or wear Blueprints and drawings for all processes and programs Job orders Load serial number verification All gauging required, including CMM Verifying gage calibration Inspection report Machine fixturing for all set ups All tooling, its name and function Familiarity with CNC programming/languages and knowledge of how to edit programs Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances Machine safety Maintaining clean equipment Machine lubrication (follow operation SOP)
Develop the skills necessary for promotion consideration
Operate the following equipment and tools:
Fork truck and pallet lifts Bar Code Scanning Equipment Dust collection system Precision gauging and various tools (micrometers, calipers, drills, inserts, etc.)
Basic knowledge of the quality checks and requirements for the following:
First machining -- All programs and part types Intermediate machining -- All programs and part types Pre-oxy/Final machining -- All programs and part types All MES- i.e. Parts Log, DMR and the First Piece Inspection
Assist other departments as necessary with approval from your management team
