Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Chef to join our team at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The Chef is responsible for oversight of the Harborview Dining Room. The Harborview Dining Room boasts spectacular views of Boston Harbor from the 31st floor of the Federal Reserve Building, which is located next to South Station for easy commuter access. The Dining Room provides full table service lunch daily 11:30am-1:30pm to Federal Reserve and other building tenant employees. The Chef is responsible for menu planning, seasonal menu changes, creating daily specials, costing, purchasing, HACCP, sanitation and overall operational efficiency. The Chef will also assist with other retail operations and with catering as needed. Schedule flexibility and the ability to work some evenings is required as this location hosts a number of evening events.

Position Summary

Responsible for food production in a foodservice operation. May be responsible for one area (i.e., hot foods) or could specialize (i.e., catering). Supervises a staff of hourly associates. May be responsible for food inventory and ordering. May conduct culinary training. Manages the kitchen. Reports to GM or Executive Chef.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
