Position Description:

Perform location quantity audits to support your Inventory Control Analyst. Accurately record not only the physical count but also the physical state of inventory locations. Report back collected data to the Analyst. Perform "2 nd count" audits against other teams within Inventory Control. Responsible for interfacing and supporting their fellow IC teammates including a team of IC Auditors and a Researcher they will be working with. This is a position that spends 99% of the time out in the warehouse physically counting locations. Strong organizational skills with a very high level of attention to detail.

Ability to efficiently operate PIT equipment (orderpicker, turret, Taylor Dunn, Cushman, etc...).

Ability to learn and understand location/aisle/area naming conventions within the facility.

Ability to learn and understand receiving/picking/replenishment processes within the facility, specifically understanding the completion of system transactions and overall impact to inventory.

Ability to analyze and resolve problems created by situations you do not directly control.

Ability to work well with others outside the department.

Ability to instruct other associates on the proper way of executing system transactions and perform documented procedures.

Ability to work from PIT equipment in a constant state of standing, bending and reaching in and around storage locations.

Ability to constantly life and move parts/boxes/containers as needed to complete physical counts

Ability to lift at least fifty pounds as required while completing physical audits.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent One year of clerical or warehouse experience Ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods Strong customer service skills are required Intermediate knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Knowledge of WMS preferred Experience operating forklift equipment preferred

Responsibilities:

Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature Floor work and additional duties as assigned Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift Maintains filing systems and documents Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support Coordinates activities / meetings / communication for the specific area or shift Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
