Investment Operations' primary function of providing middle-office support for internal and external portfolio activities is accomplished by
performing pre-settlement portfolio controls, cash and trade management, cash flow analysis, portfolio and total fund reporting, as well as trade
compliance and ethics. The unit partners with the asset classes to align operational services for successful implementation of the trustee approved
Investment Policy and Management Plan.
In 2013, the CalSTRS Investments Branch became the first public pension plan to be named to Pensions & Investments magazine's 'Best Places
to Work in Money Management' list.
An Investment Officer I or II who possesses professional certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) receives a 5% monthly base pay
differential.

Qualified Candidates should possess or demonstrate the following:
Ability to work with multiple applications, and various financial and portfolio systems, such as: Bloomberg, Aladdin, and Omgeo
Experience in the investment or financial services field preferred
Experience with international equity trade settlements
Knowledge of investment transactions and security types, including global equity, fixed income and derivatives
Strong analytical skills, including experience using market data and systems to research and resolve issues
Advanced knowledge of MS Suite, particularly Excel spreadsheet experience
Ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and under short time constraints
Team player who can work well in a dynamic team environment with a high degree of integrity
