About this job
A full-service acute care facility serving the residents of Tracy for over 60 years, Sutter Tracy Community Hospital (STCH) has a total of 82 inpatient beds. STCH provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services including: a 24-hour emergency department, inpatient and ambulatory surgical services, endoscopy lab, intensive care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and rehabilitation services including physical, speech and occupational therapy. STCH also has specialized care for Hemodialysis, Family Birthing Center , Continence Center and a Pain Management Center . The Surgical Technologist principal function is in the scrub role, providing nesessary and appropriate equipment, instrumentation, and supplies in the following areas: orthepedic surgery including total joint replacement, opthalmic surgery, general surgery, vascular surgery, urologic surgery, ENT, OBGYN. Assists in preparation and observation of the patient. High school graduate or equivalent GED.
AA degree in science major preferred.
Lower division anatomy, physiology, and micrbiology preferred.
Current CPR certification required.
Previous experience as a Surgical Tech in an acute care or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
Completion of an accredited surgical tech program or military training preferred.
